Ways I can work with your school.
Every engagement is tailored. The work usually falls into one of the four areas below. Many engagements combine two or three.
Senior and executive leadership consulting
Working directly with principals, deputy principals, directors of curriculum, and executive teams on data-informed decision-making at the school or system level. How you structure your data cycles, where you invest, and how you turn whole-school data into strategic action.
Tailored professional learning
Supporting teams to analyse their data, build data literacy, and set up productive data systems and cycles. Topics can include responsive teaching practice and instructional approaches, developmental approaches to assessment, learning analytics design, and data-informed program design. Format is scoped to your team's needs.
Keynote speeches and conference sessions
Addresses, talks, and conference sessions on evidence-informed practice, data culture, and the shift from data-rich-but-stuck to data-leading-to-change. Suitable for school staff days, system events, and education conferences.
Resource and dashboard development
Custom work for schools or systems that need something specific built. Dashboards for school-specific data sources, frameworks for your context, bespoke protocols or diagnostics. Starts with a conversation about what you need.

Tell me a bit about your school and what you're trying to do. I'll read it, reply within a few days, and we'll take it from there.
About me.
I'm Sam Montanaro. I've spent years leading whole-school improvement through data systems, data capabilities, and data access. Before that, I was a teacher, a data lead, and a senior school leader. The tools, frameworks, and engagements on this site come from doing this work inside real schools, with real teachers and real students.
